"Cherry On a Cake" explains how to make sugar roses with wired petals . The process is the same for air dry clay. You'll need some pre-tinted clay, floral wire and plastic spoons (to shape petals). It'd also help to have a petal cutter, leaf cutter and veiner but can be done without.
