Mountain View softball standout JoLynn Niegocki to play for Fort Lewis

Mountain View catcher/outfielder JoLynn Niegockiannounced her commitment to play for Fort Lewis on Friday. Niegocki batted .459 with seven RBI on three doubles and a triple to help lead the Mountain Lions to a 7-4 record last spring.

Marana senior Tatum Caldwell,Canyon del Oro senior Aimee Shanksand Mountain View senior Hailie Mannalso committed to play for the Skyhawks. Former Canyon del Oro standout Shelby Hotchkissjoined the team this year and former Ironwood Ridge standouts Mandy Lorenson, Kelly Deckerand Julia Robertsare also on the Fort Lewis 2020 roster.

Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014, he was awarded the Ray McNally Award in 2017, a 2019 AZ Education News award winner and he has been a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years. Andy was named an Honorary Flowing Wells Caballero in 2019 and he was a member of the Amphi COVID-19 Blue Ribbon Committee and was given the Amphi Distinguished Service Award.
