The top-ranked Pima women’s soccer team beat South Mountain 7-0 Tuesday in Phoenix to move to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in ACCAC play. Former Cienega standout Delaney Buntinrecorded a hat trick in the match with goals scored in the 19th, 20th and 71st minutes.
In addition, former Walden Grove standout Meredith Scottscored twice in the victory as did former Cienega standout Riley Bonner. Former Sahuaro standout Nayeli Vidalhad two assists, former Salpointe standout Kyleigh Oliver, former Tucson High standout Juliana Valdezand former Tucson High standout Alexus Mendezalso recorded assists.
The Cougars to no shots on goal for the game and former Cienega keeper Adriana Pachecohad no saves.
The Aztecs will play at home on Saturday to host No. 2 ranked Phoenix College at 7 p.m.
