    Social media reactions of No. 12 Arizona’s win over No. 2 Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium

    Thirty-four seasons after its first and only trip to Cameron Indoor Stadium at Duke, Arizona came home with a victory Friday night with Mike Krzyzewskisitting courtside to witness it all.

    Arizona and Duke developed a cross-country rivalry in the late-1980s and early-1990s when Lute Olsonwas developing the Wildcats into a national power and Krzyzewski was establishing a run of national championships.

    The first meeting at Duke between the traditional powers was in the 1989-90 season with Duke and point guard Bobby Hurley— now the head coach at Arizona State — prevailing 78-76 in front of the Cameron Crazies.

    Arizona’s 78-73 on Friday night increased the Wildcats’ winning streak to three games over the Blue Devils and improved their series edge to 6-4.

    The programs may meet again in the NCAA tournament at season’s end. They have scheduled a home-and-home with a return game at McKale Center next November.

    Keeping things in perspective, Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd, opened his postgame press conference with an emotional statement about his good friend and former college teammate Andrew Reed of Walla Walla (Wash.) recently diagnosed with cancer:

    How important was this 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer made by Caleb Love? Arizona won by five points but two of them came after a steal and dunk at the very end. Those three points from Love were a big difference.

    Hard to believe none of the current Wildcats were born yet and Tommy Lloyd was 15 years old attending Kelso (Wash.) High School as a freshman when the programs met before at Cameron Indoor Stadium .

    Jay Bilasalso said Larsson is an NBA player. He looked like one against Duke with 12 points (making 2 of 3 from beyond the arc) with six rebounds and the last steal (although the stat crew did not give him a steal on the play).

    Keshad Johnson, who had a team-high 14 points and tied Boswell with the team lead in rebounds with eight, is a player these freshmen can look up to, which is immeasurable with his conduct and ability:
