The eight section winners will earn an automatic playoff berth and No. 8 Pusch Ridge leads Section 7 and No. 19 Willcox leads Section 3. Pusch Ridge senior Joshua Carrollis ranked No. 15 in the state and he will qualify as a member of Pusch Ridge regardless.
James Labukasof Gregory School and Gavin Rasconof Andrada Polytechnic are currently part of the top 15 golfers not attached to a playoff team.
The State Tournament runs from May 6-7 at the Aguila Golf Course in Laveen.

GOLF 100 YEARS AGO
Arthur Havers(68), British Open Champion, and James Ockenden(72), French Open Champion, visited Tucson in February 9, 1924 and the pair defeated Louis Curry(72), State Amateur Champion, Bob Hayes(74), Tucson Golf and Country Club pro, and Hi Corbett(77), Club Champion, at the Tucson Golf and Country Club.
