Nogales scored three insurance runs in the sixth inning after leading 4-3 after the first two innings … Alan Durazohit an RBI double and Ralph Felixfollowed with a two-run single for the Apaches(16-8). Durazo, the leadoff hitter, went 3 for 3 with three runs and an RBI. … Salvador Valenzuelawas the winning pitcher striking out seven and walking three in 5 2/3 innings. He allowed five hits and three runs.

The Lancers (20-6-1) defeated Walden Grove for the second time in less than a week behind the performance of Shawn Barros(8-1 with a 1.31 ERA).
