Watermelon Lemonade Recipe – Easy Iced Summer Beverage

Summer is time for watermelon’s and lemonade. What’s a better mix than adding those two things together to make an easy recipe for watermelon lemonade?
Truth be told, I’m not a huge lover of plain lemonade. Personally I just don’t like sour and tart things. But when you add something else to lemonade such as strawberries, lavender or watermelon, it’s one of my favorite summer drinks.
Growing up in east Texas my parents had friends that grew watermelons on their farm. Summers were never without an abundance of watermelon. After the pickers were done picking the watermelons out of the fields we were allowed to go out and break open any watermelons that were left behind and just dig into them, right there in field. It’s a magical memory which is what summers are all about. They’re there for those magical memories. 
Sticky sweet juice combined with the amazing colors just make watermelons one of my favorite things.
But life can’t be too sweet. That’s where the lemons come into play. 
To make watermelon lemonade you’re just going to have to add lemons. Now you know what to do when life hands them to you.
This recipe couldn’t be easier.
You’ll need: - 6 lemons
- 1 small seedless watermelon
- 3/4 cup Equal sweetener
- 2 cups of water
Why Equal? Have you ever made lemonade with plain sugar? Making drink recipes with any recipes that needs to be sweetened can be frustrating. You stir the sugar nonstop and it just doesn’t seem to do anything. Then if you’re impatient like I am you just add more and keep on stirring. Before you know it you’ve added a lot of sugar and an hour later when the sugar fully mixes in your drink will be too sweet. Equal sweetener
is a great way to get the sweetness immediately without over sweetening or getting a good arm workout for the day. If you use the Equal Spoonful than 1 cup of sugar is the same as one cup of Equal Spoonful. It’s an easy way to sub out sugar in your summer drinks!
Once you’ve given your watermelon lemonade a few quick (and painless) stirs it’ll be ready to serve. Pour over a glass full of ice and enjoy!
