Space Availability - Jones Media Center

  • The Innovation Studio may be booked for 180 minutes (3 hours) maximum per individual or group while the other rooms may be booked for up to 120 minutes (2 hours) maximum per group. Back-to-back bookings by a single-group may be canceled or groups may be asked to leave. Daily limits are aggregated across JMC rooms.
  • After 30 minutes, no-show reservations will be canceled. Also, unattended rooms (i.e., squatting) will be emptied of belongings after 30 minutes of non-use.
  • You may book up to seven (7) days in advance, but all reservation requests should be made 24 hours ahead. Walk-up reservations can be made on the same day based upon availability.
  • Group study rooms are not available for regularly scheduled classes.
  • These JMC Learning Spaces feature equipment and facilities that are not readily available elsewhere on campus. Therefore, priority use will be given to patrons needing to use these particular facilities. Patrons not using the facilities as designed may be asked to leave so that these limited resources can be used appropriately.
  • Food is not generally allowed in the learning spaces without prior written permission.

Jones Media Center Innovation Studio

  • The Innovation Studio is a multipurpose space, configurable for teaching, presentations, video recording, or small events. It features tablet desk seating for 20 and standard seating for an additional 12. It also has a video wall of 8 screens, and accepts attached laptops and wireless mobile devices. A Blu-ray DVD player is available at the podium, as is a podium microphone. For larger events, the Innovation Studio can be opened up to include JMC East Side Lab, with total seating of approximately 60-70.
