AirAsia is set to soar into the South Indian city of Kerala, launching its first direct service from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia , starting February 21st.

Operating with a 180-seater Airbus 320, the new route will initially operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Departing Thiruvananthapuram at 12:25 AM, passengers will arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 11:50 PM.
AirAsia’s vast network connects Kuala Lumpur to popular destinations like Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore, fulfilling a long-standing demand for increased East Asian connectivity.

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, also known as Trivandrum International Airport, is the first airport in the state of Kerala and the fifth international airport in India. It is located approximately 3.7 km from the city center and serves as the operating base for Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo, and SpiceJet. The airport is spread over an area of 700 acres and is the nearest airport to the sea in India, just 0.6 miles away from Shankumugham Beach.
