The A350-900, part of Air India’s extensive order of 470 new aircraft placed less than a year ago, is set to redefine the passenger experience.
Equipped with an advanced in-flight entertainment (IFE) system, the aircraft features a unique three-class cabin configuration comprising 28 private business class suites with full-flat beds, 24 premium economy seats with extra legroom, and 264 economy seats.
The flight, registered as VT-JRA, follows a strategic schedule, departing Bengaluru at 7:05 am and reaching Mumbai at 8:50 am, except Tuesdays when it is not scheduled.
This domestic deployment aims to familiarize the crew with the aircraft and ensure regulatory compliance before expanding its services to international routes.
Passengers traveling between major Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, and Hyderabad, can now experience the cutting-edge technology and comfort offered by the A350.
After its stint on domestic routes, the aircraft is slated to be deployed on international routes, signaling a significant shift and breaking Boeing’s monopoly on Air India’s widebody operations.
The introduction of the Airbus A350 into Air India’s fleet represents a strategic move to enhance passenger experience, promote operational efficiency, and strengthen the airline’s position in the global aviation landscape.
As the carrier embraces this new era of aviation technology, travelers can anticipate a seamless and state-of-the-art journey on the airline’s flagship A350 aircraft.
