Corinthia Hotel Budapest scooped two prestigious awards this month, one for its outstanding human resource policy and another for its elegant and interactive Facebook page.
The hotel won the top slot in the Organizational Collaboration category of the Investors in People Hungary (IIP) and the British Chamber of Commerce in Hungary annual award.

The annual IIP award has the goal of setting standards for better management of people by measuring workplace trends, essential skills, effective structures in people and management practices.
The hotel achieved its first IIP accreditation in 2008. Being continually accredited and now re-accredited underscores the hotel’s commitment to quality and people excellence. The hotel is still the only hotel organization in Hungary that has been accredited by IIP.
“Prestige and compensation packages are a good start but don’t make daily work joyful,” says Reka Szalai-Domotor, Director of HR. From the beginning, Corinthia Hotel Budapest focuses on the support of the mental and physical wellbeing of employees, rewards performance, considers individual needs and promotes individuals.

In a second accolade, Corinthia Hotel Budapest won first place at the Tourism Social Media Awards for the hotel’s Facebook page, while their Instagram presence brought them a bronze medal.
Informative lifestyle and opinion posts are updated by the team, balancing what’s happening inside and outside the hotel. “We balance the news, visitors, the gastronomy, corporate and image contents with spontaneity, which is crucial as we know that a page can be more dynamic and likable if we don’t measure the content mathematically,” said Zsofia Raduly, Social Media & Web Content Manager. “This award confirms that we have been successful in a new field.”
The Tourism Social Media Awards were founded by turizmus.com and Feszbuker.hu in 2017 for Hungarian hotels, organizations and enterprises offering tourist services, with the aim of highlighting the best social media solutions, judged by a professional jury.
