Dominica’s 12th Jazz ‘n Creole is only three days away with everything in place for an enjoyable event. Situated atop the lush Cabrits National Park, the historic Fort Shirley provides incredible views of Prince Rupert Bay and surrounding Portsmouth, making it an ideal venue for a festival of this nature.
This year’s lineup will deliver jazz-and-creole-infused performances with international flair from Black Violin, Swingin Stars, Island Jazz Collective, Phyllisia Ross, Signal Band, and recently added Venezuelan orchestra, Octeto Kanaima. The musical experience will be enhanced by the festival’s amenities including the Kid’s Zone, Chill Zone, VIP, Fashion Show, Boutik Domnik (comprised of craft vendors and service providers), multiple food and beverage bars, and ample washroom facilities. Distributors Belfast Estate Ltd., Fine Foods Inc., and Pirates Ltd. will also be onsite to offer premium wines, cocktails and liquors. A scannable QR code will be widely visible at the event to assist patrons onsite with their jazz experience.
