Lately, I’ve been in the groove of my workouts. About every other day I make it a point to do something that breaks a sweat — whether it’s going for an easy jog, an interval run, or banging out pull-ups in my garage gym. My home workouts are definitely a habit now — and one that I need (both mentally and physically). But, recently, even though I’m getting out there, I’m not exactly as excited as I once was. I’ve been getting kind of stuck in a rut — just going through the motions. I’ve created a ton of workouts… The post Kettlebell Workouts That’ll Make You Stronger appeared first on Fit Bottomed Girls.

There have been a few moments during this pandemic that make me think, “Clearly, this is what I’ve been training for.” Working from home? Been doing it since Dubya was in office. Meal planning? Maybe I haven’t been great at it, but it’s something I’ve been trying to do for years — although I have to admit that having every single meal at home is … kind of a lot. But my friends and acquaintances aren’t coming to me with questions about setting up a home office or figuring out meals — they’re asking me about workouts. Not just what… The post Tips for Getting More Out of Your Home Workouts appeared first on Fit Bottomed Girls.

Editor’s note: This post was written before the insanity and reality/tragedy of COVID-19 set in. As you read through, please consider doing the following: Wipe down your own equipment with a disinfectant before and after use, even if it’s just you. Be sure to wash your hands before and after, too. We don’t recommend you working out with others, but if you do, keep at least six feet apart. Remember that very intense exercise can decrease your immunity, so go at a moderate to mild pace where you can talk (reference here). If you just started working out at home,… The post 10 Workouts From My Garage Gym appeared first on Fit Bottomed Girls.

In case you missed my big (fit) news, I now work out … in my garage! (Check out my garage gym here.) And — as promised — I wanted to share a few of the workouts I’ve created (many inspired by past Fit Pit workouts) and really enjoyed doing in said garage gym. Most of these are a mix of cardio and full-body strength, HIIT, and are very short (30 minutes max, with a lot of 10- to 15-minute workouts in there). They also require some equipment, like dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, TRX, and a rower, BUT! There are definitely easy… The post My Latest Garage Gym Workouts appeared first on Fit Bottomed Girls.
