Monday it’s more Anya/Stephanie strangeness. All will be explained by the end of the week. You’ve had some clues so far…
Update: I redid one of Anya’s dialogue balloons in the 2nd panel. I thought the original like was too sarcastic for her.

That coloured insert. It isn’t even the same resolution as the rest of the image. The edges are barely smoothed… except for the small ball of smoke, where every stroke of the blur tool is rather blatant.
It looks so utterly out of place and conspicuous that I can’t even tell what is supposed to be happening in that cell.

Wow-funny you should mention Jessica Rabbit, ’cause I have a big J.R. poster hanging up in my studio. I never realized the influence before.
The same thing happened when I did Lyssa and the Pirates. Two years after drawing one sequence I realized that I had illustrated lyrics from one of my favorite songs without consciously knowing it.
Color?! I do love Stephanie in that panel though. Very Jessica Rabbit!
Also, I don’t know what’s so unusual about her lighting a smoke with her finger. I do that all the time!
