I fell in love with the Rockster model on a weekend-long "test ride." My little f650CS was in the shop for a warranty repair. But the available shop loaner was a LOWERED f650GS... I've got a 34" inseam, it was almost comical.
The shop manager suggested I ask if one of the sales demo bikes might be avaiable for my use. As it happened, there was a Rockster demo that they wanted some more miles put on. I put over 500 miles on that bike over a long weekend. I did manage to tip it over, coming out of a parking lot. 100 lbs heavier than my own bike, and taller (33.5" seat height).
I LOVE this motorcycle! ON the highway, it is a mile eater. It has a nice smooth powerband, plenty of grunt for climbing mountains or passing trucks while loaded down with my camping gear. It handles easily for me. I have to pay attention to road surface and slope when parking, but that's a minor detail.
The limited edition black and white color scheme is so classy.

Pam and Christine I have the BMW R1150R 2004 and I am 5'4". I have the lower seat, lowered the shocks and installed a handlebar spacer to bring bars back. But, yes, you can still nick name me tippy, when I'm not moving. But on the road this bike rocks if you like power, control and incredible braking! I've been riding on and off for 30 years, this bike rides like a dream. Yeah, I wish they had more quality bikes for short people-but they don't. So you just have to be smart in drive ways and on uneven surfaces! I just conquered Rt 17, in Vermont, twisty and steep. What an accomplishment. What's next????

I love your description of this bike - "plenty of grunt........." I'm going to have to use that in the future. Just wondering if you are comfortable, now, with that seat height? I have the same inseam as you do, which certainly comes in handy when it comes to motorcycles........
