I live in Texas. There's not much we can do in 105 degree heat to keep from having damp,(aka wet), FLAT, hair once that helmet comes off. Destination reached, I pop on my cap and head for the nearest restroom. I pack a mini sized curling iron made by Conair,in my bag. It heats up in less than one minute.
Paper-towel dry and fluff your hair. Grab that curling iron, and in 2 or 3 minutes, you're good to go and looking great. (It's light-weight, cartridges last a long time, and its about the size of your checkbook; cost is reasonable too). If you're on the road, I use my crushable, but cool-looking(; bandanna & cowboy hat.
