Hi there, I'm about to turn 17 and desperate to buy a learner bike after I complete my CBT. I love riding pillion and really want to ride for myself. I'm very very tiny - only 4' 11" and weigh about 85lbs so finding a bike I can actually handle is proving to be difficult. I'm not a strong or athletic female so the prospect of a heavy bike is very daunting! Ideally I'd like more of a sportster style but I don't think I can afford to be picky at my size! I also need a bike I can pick up fairly cheaply second hand as I'm planning on selling it when I go to university..Thanks, Vicky :)

Hi Vicky,
Barb was dead on when she suggested the Hohda Rebel for a starter bike for you. It is just perfect for shorter people as it is a bit smaller in frame size than the other 250's. You won't go wrong with this bike and it will be easy to sell when you wat to let it go. Go luck and happy riding.

I started riding with the Honda Rebel 250cc. It's an awesome bike and fun to ride, not too heavy and the center of gravity is low, which makes it a great bike for a short person. Good luck.
