Hi!
I'm just learning how to ride and am interested in getting a bike that could be both on-road transportation and fun for off-road. The only bike I'm familiar with is the Honda XR 400, but it's HUGE! I'm pretty tiny (5'2", 120lbs) and can't handle something like that. So I'm starting the search for something a little more my size. It would be really cool if it wasn't so tiny that my husband couldn't use it sometimes, but both feet touching the ground is a priority for me. So... any ideas out there? Appreciate the advice!
Cheers

Take a look at the Honda 230L Dualsport. Looks like a trail bike, but is factory set up for the road as well, with full lights, signals, horn, etc.
I'm 5'4" and I can easily sit on this bike with both feet flat on the ground. My husband actually purchased it as his first bike (he's 5'11") and he rode it quite comfortably for a season before moving up to a Triumph cruiser, as our son sold his trail bike to go to college and my husband no longer had anyone to ride the trails with...now he's joined me on the road (finally...I've been after him for 28 years to get his road license!)
It's unfortunate that most of the manufacturers seem to think that the people who ride trail/dualsport are at least 6'4" tall, but despite the smaller engine size, the Honda 230 L has a lot of go and handles everything but the largest highways with no problem.
