I have extremely long hair. I find that washing and drying my hair and leaving it without products (gel, mousse, hairspray, etc.) in it and then wearing a bandanna over it with tight braids works the best!
I think helmet hair is just another topic why this site even exists. It's just nice that someone can tell you what works and what doesn't without having to cut out the tangles and then learn from the mistakes. Thank you for the tips... :)

RE: no more helmet hair talk... by: Sandra
I see this comment over and over, and I have to wonder:
If you don't care what your hair looks like at the end of a ride, and that's perfectly FINE by the way, don't read posts about controlling fly-aways and countering flat hair and helmet head.
I do happen to care about how my hair looks at the end of the day, and whether I will ever get a brush through it again. I have very long hair; I WANT very long hair. I want to ride, too.
If the topic annoys you, don't read the comments??
See you at the end of the day, messy or not, and we'll share the details of a great day of riding!!
