My bike is a 1984 Yamaha Seca in line 4, 750cc with mega HP. The bike relaxes when in 5th gear and is so smooth. It's like it goes awwww. It feels like a brand new bike. My sweet guy bought it for me when I was going for my license. Everyone thought it was too much bike for me. It took every ounce of me to tame this bike to do the figure 8's but after two attempts I made it. Dave said that he knew I could handle it and I did. I am 52 and a grandmother of 3. Life has never been so great.

Congrats on passing the test and the receiving your first bike. You look perfectly comfortable on it! Nice color too.

What a great bike you look good on it to. Always remember when a woman puts her heart and mind to something she will always win.

It's not that we do Figure 8's running down the road - it's being able to control the bike in tight, slow speed maneuvers and learning to finesse that clutch and rear brake...and stay off the front brake...while keeping the rubber on the pavement. Just like singing scales does not sound like a great song, the skill-building is really important for a great performance later!

Got my license in May on a Shadow 1100. The test was tough because my bike wants to go and is heavy, but, made it. Have yet to do a figure 8 while riding. lol Just turned 61, recently retired and riding as often as I can.

Of course you can do it! All it takes is a clear head and a desire, right?
My Suzuki C50 Boulevard (800 cc) IS a monster size cruiser, but I would not change rides for anything right now. Riding down the road at 60 mph or more is the easy part; now I make time, every ride, to start, finish, or BOTH in the parking lot, doing Figure 8's and always trying to make them tighter. Right now, I wish I could see someone else do them in the space I'm working with to see just how good, or bad, I'm doing!
Keep up the great work - lovin' it!
