Icebike, Honda 450
I'm short and very curvy. 5'3" and 145lbs.
I recently started riding my boyfriends Honda 450 on the frozen lakes. I love it, it's amazing. I had my first fall and realized I am way to small to handle this bike, yet! It takes everything I have to pick it up.
I have little experience and at 43, nursing some very bruised legs and whiplash, I need a bike that gives me the power I love, but is small enough for me to maneuver.
I was thinking about a lowered honda 250, then I read about a Honda 230? Its all very confusing. Most sites say to go down to an 85 or at the most a 150, but I am not a feather weight! I found a yamaha TTR 230 on craigslist. He may be willing to trade my boat for it. Ugh!
I want to go dirt bike riding this summer and I hope to get enough experience to race on the ice next year...
Any, Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Dirt bikes, by nature, tend to be a bit higher, so you have the clearance on the rough stuff. It's essential you can touch the ground though. Kawasaki has a lot of models that would be worth looking into. Really for me, the only proof of the pudding is actually sitting on it and trying it. Best of luck!
