This is my second bike, and my first sport bike. Now that I have had a few months to get used to it, I love it. It is zippy and nimble. I am 5'4", and I can touch the balls of my feet to the ground comfortably enough to maneuver while parking, and I usually just put one firm foot on the ground at stoplights. I've heard it is easy to lower, and I may do that in the future. The riding position is fairly upright, but you can lie down on the tank if you like when it is windy - with the full faring, it does blow around a little bit on a windy highway. The faring gets very hot. Hot air blowing on your legs is not pleasant in hot weather, but keeps you nice and warm on cold mornings... The stock seat is not terribly comfortable after more than 100 miles. All in all, I would buy this bike again in a heartbeat. Love it!

Congrats on your new sport bike! I recently added a 2002 Ninja 250 to the garage and use her for commuting to work. It was interesting learning to ride her as I also ride a 1100 VStar cruiser. My husband re-geared the Ninja so I would have more top end which helps a lot. I would love to graduate to a 650 but being short, I know it would need to be lowered so I'll stick with my little Ninjette. She is light and nimble and lots of fun, although I do miss a full size wind screen. Thanks for sharing with us!
