For my first bike, I wanted it to be new and shiney - mainly, I wanted a bike that I was able to put all the miles on it. So thanks to "credit", I went to the dealership and saw this baby. They had just put her together and on the show room floor the week prior. I'm not a red person but the deep color of this bike really appealed to me. I fell in love. I took an evening to think about it. I was scared to just dive in since I had yet to get my license. I did a little bit of riding 15 yrs ago on a Susuki 750 and the memory of that stayed with me all these years. So here I am, with my very own bike (have yet to name her). I'm 41 and finally brave enough to take on the open road. It's been almost 2 mths and I have put 1,500 miles on her. It is now fall in Alaska so I might have another month and half to ride before I have to put her away for the Winter. Very sad about that. But, until then, I'm going to have some fun!!!

I love the Kawasaki Vulcan 900 custom, I just bought my bike back in March 1st week, I have Indian blood in me, so everything I want is very colorful, and my bike is passion red :o)
I just finished the motorcycle training school, so now I have my motorcycle endorsement.
I'm planing a trip to Alaska, maybe next year ? I know there is a lot to consider on such a trip. I thought about going on the Marine Hi-way.And then break up the miles, riding part of it by ferry boats.?
Stay safe, a fellow biker who loves his vulcan 900 custom too.

Nice bike. I just got an 01 Vulcan 1500 and I love it. I rode backseat for 3 yrs. Just got my endorsement in Sept. These are very nice bikes. I am just glad I live in Florida so I don't have to put it up for the winter. Just have to leather up.

I too have one. Have been to California & back to Pennsylvania on it and other long trips. Outside of getting the oil changed & regular servicing, not a bit of trouble with it. Super reliable. You'll love it for years to come. My girl is named Belle.
