I am a pilot. Have been for 40 years. I was a motorcycle rider prior to that though and the best thing I can say about riding motorcycles is that if you can't fly then riding is the very best next thing.
I took flying lessons in highschool. All I can say is NO DRUG I can think of could be as awesome as the first flight! Taking off, feeling every bump on the ground until you lift off and you FEEL the wind on the surface of the plane and it's like a really good orgasm then you realise what's going on and FLYING KILLS THE DEMON! That darkness, anger, fear, pain, whatever tears you up inside, it's gone! It's like the gods are cleaning your soul with altitude, you're forgiven. No words to explain. After landing you're mortal once again but you're not the same, never again. I crave for that first hit. God, I'd quit my job for one more kiss of the sky. But college isn't cheap and a motorcycle takes less space in the parking lot so...hello, new demon killer! :D

I had a Cherokee aircraft and couldn't afford the plane and sold it to go riding a motorcycle. Oh what a thrill I get also from riding.

Flying vs Motorcycle Riding by: Jacee
I can't imagine that flying anything but a stunt plane or an F16 would even begin to equal riding a motorcycle. Every plane I've been in (commercial, small 10-seater, twin-engine 2-seater) was anywhere near the excitement of riding a motorcycle. Most flying feels like you're almost sitting still (the 10-seater in a storm was an exception!).
Do you feel the wind in your face in an airplane? Nope. Can you lean to almost falling over feeling the gyroscope phenomenon in an airplane? Nope.
Most of the excitement of a motorcycle is feeling and seeing the road beneath you. It gives you a real sense of speed and possible danger. I don't get that in an airplane at all.
