Lucca (Estrada's Lucca of Island Alpaca)
Recent News Flash: Lucca does it again. Blue Ribbon for Fleece at the 2015 MAPACA Jubilee in Pennsylvania... And what a history: Lucca won the Color Champion at the 2011 New England Alpaca Classic show! He was also awarded the Reserve Champion for the Tennessee Waltz 2013 Spin-Off. Lucca has won Blue Ribbons multiple times, 13 to be exact, this is very impressive for a male with a light color like his and for the amount of shows we are able to participate in.
Lucca is an incredible male who has very fine and tight crimped fleece. The fleece is very uniform and he has an amazing stature! He's phenotype is spot on with a wonderful conformation, a perfect bite, a strong frame, and a very pleasing look. He has nice long legs and a great top knot similar to the genetic trait clearly present also in his brother Khan D'Or .
Lucca's sire is CT Estrada who has to his credit eight multiple champions and over 30 blues. His dam is Golden Frida and her sire, the well noted Snowmass Legacy Gold !
Lucca's first cria arrived in 2015, Luciana , a fawn female who has absolutely gorgeous, bright, fine fleece. She looks identical to her sire and we are very happy with the results! Her confirmation is amazing with perfect straight legs, thick-boned frame, and a gorgeous head....we can't wait to show her!

Golden Frida is sired by the most decorated Snowmass
Legacy Gold
who sold for $500,000 at the Making of Champions Private
Selection Sale in 2006. His half brother Snowmass Invincible sold for a
world record price of $580,000 in 2005. These are the two highest
selling males in alpaca auction history. His Grand sire, 4P Legacy also
sold for $750,000 for 1/2 interest which is the highest selling private
treaty sale - Please read about him below.
In
2008 she has produced her first offspring, and has been a terrific mom.
This pairing was with Aga Khan
which resulted in a superfine
male, (16.7 micron) we now name, Khan D'Or
, or Golden Khan. ( he is
often refered to as "Golden Boy" here at the farm, as he is truly solid
gold!)
Frida's
Grand Sire, is again, the notable 4Peruvian Legacy 6016, born on the
Accoyo Estancia in 1994 and imported to the USA in the fourth Peruvian
Importation in 1996. Legacy left and indelible mark on the North
American Alpaca Industry. He was perhaps one of, if not the most notable
alpaca in the world by virtue of both his production of excellence and
his record-setting sales numbers. Twice he was the highest selling
alpaca in history and he still holds that distinction. At the Futurity,
he was the Herd Sire of the year in 2002 and the Reserve Light Herd Sire
of the Year in both 2005 and 2007. It is conceivable, if not probable,
that he would have won that award a couple more times in the late 1990's
had such an award been established. His sons and daughters, and
grandchildren have garnered countless ribbons and Championships during a
span which covered a decade all over the nation. He became important to
many programs by virtue of his sons and daughters.

Estrada is a well-balanced male from two top parents. His Sire, Evander, does it again with this amazingly dense, fine fleece male with a great handle and luster, extensive coverage and a great body. With his 2012 shearing, Estrada had over 12.6 pounds of fleece sheared off. Amazing!!
Alpaca judge, Wade Gease has said about Estrada, "He is the "complete package". Very nice fleece style and crimp formation throughout. He has kept his fineness/softness." Also, Judge David Barboza has said about Estrada: "His architecture and density is incredible! Spot on!" And Alpaca Fleece Judge, Cheryl Gehly has written: "Wow! Fine with great character! Quite uniform for micron." "Beautiful Fleece: fine, bright, well organized!". Awarding him first place in the competition, and again, after the fleeces third showing at the 2009 Empire Symposium and Fleece Event, she commented again; "Beautiful Fleece: fine, bright, well organized!". Most recent fleece circuit, Estrada's fleece (its fourth showing) took yet another blue at PAOBA show, May, 2009.
To date, Estrada has eight multiple Champ/Reserve Championships , and 27 first-place, blue-ribbon awards. See the details of his show record below, most in very competitive classes!
In 2009, Estrada's Fleece won the reserve Championship
, and took first place
in his class over another amazing alpaca who won the 2008 Futurity Championship that had 54 entries in the class!
Both dam and sire have produced Championship winners so his future is extremely promising indeed.
