Spurs tapped to grab Belize, a young Argentine striker

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Argentine striker Alejo Belize from Rosario Central for a reported £12 million.

The 19-year-old striker became Tottenham’s second signing on a single day following defender Micky van der Feen’s £43million move from Wolfsburg.

Belize has signed a six-year contract with Spurs and will wear the number 36 shirt for Tottenham Hotspur.

Part of the Argentina U20 team, Veliz was also a target for Nottingham Forest, but it is Spurs who have secured his services after opening talks last week.

Belize’s arrival comes at the same time that Spurs are in talks with Bayern Munich over a possible move for Harry Kane, but the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement.

Spurs are also willing to listen to offers for Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga, Sergio Reguilon and Tanguy Ndombele.
