let me try to explain

there are 2 things..
1) the speed at which the individual electrons are traveling. and that is very very slow,
2) then there's the WAVE of the PUSH and that is very fast

imagine there was a long steel pole from the electric company to your house and they push it slowly. they only push it 1 MPH. This does not mean it will take 100 hours for you to notice the push.. but when they give a push.. (even a very slow push) you will see the other end of the pole (the side that is in your house) move right away, almost instantly (almost the speed of light) even tough you will never receive the part of the pole that is outside your house or miles away.. you will still see the pole move and you will still feel the push


the same with electricity
we are all connected to eclectic company through wires. and they push electros through the wires. we get the PSUH almost instantly.. even tough it takes for an electron house to move a few inches

no. NOTHING travels faster than the speed of light. as strange at it might seem. if you push a long pole.. the push travels ONLY at the speed of light,

. they call it the "speed of causality" the speed of light is not a LIGHT speed limit. rather its the speed limit of EVERYTHING in the universe

but this goes a lot deeper than this. you might think that the Steel / iron pole shrkined because we "pushed " it
but no.. even if it was a train or a airplane and it flew past you then you will see it SHRINKING in the direction of travel

this has to do with Einstein's theory of special relativity

anything that flies at relativistic speeds (very fast close to the speed of light) will shrink, the faster it flies.. the closer to the speed of light it goes the more it will shrink. a long train flying at 99.999% of the speed of light shrink down to less than 1 inch long but the people inside won't notice anything

very very strange but reality

איך גיי עס טאקע "זעהן" שרינקען, אבער צו דען שרינקט עס באמת?

it doesn't' just "look" like it shrinks. it truly shrinks.... from your perspective. no matter how you measure it, no matter what machine or instrument you use, you will measure a fast moving object to be shrunken

but this its all relative as from the perspective travelers inside the train it is the REST Of the world that has shrunken

this is NOT just a human "perception" thing. every "measuring device" will measure the same shirking phenomena

this goes a lot deeper, because its not only place" that shrinks, TIME shrinks too. from your perspective, (& any measuring device not on the train) time on the train slows down, nearly to stop if the train travels 99.999% of the speed of light, and from from the perspective of people (or any measuring device) inside the train, time as stopped everywhere OUTSIDE the train but time runs normally INSIDE the train

we will have a couple of episodes on relativity "sometime" in the future
