“The Courage to Believe” by Kevin Dorival is the Subject of a Musically Dramatic Event at AARLCC
BROWARD COUNTY, FL – On Saturday, January 5, 2013, young author Kevin Dorival shares the incredible story of his journey from the ghetto projects, up the corporate ladder, and into ‘the yacht’ in a book talk event held in the auditorium of the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center. The fun and the inspiration begin at 2 p.m. with a reception. And the show featuring musical acts and inspiring drama begins at 3 p.m. The sponsor for this event is the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee, Inc.
The author’s unique approach to his book signing will feature a short play, musical entertainment, raffle giveaways, and celebrity guests, and he notes that the event is generating a buzz on the popular social media sites. This is a free event for the community and appropriate for all ages.
In his book, Dorival describes in-depth his trials and tribulations, and how he was able to overcome many adversities in his life where most people would give up. You would think that defeating the U.S. Army in a trademark battle would be his greatest victory, but according to Dorival, graduating from Florida Atlantic University while he was somewhat homeless and on the run from the police—all while trying to clear his name during a homicide investigation—was by far his toughest challenge.
Kevin Dorival is a mentor and skilled Internet Marketing Consultant. He advocates for black minorities in urban communities to graduate from high school, pursue a college education and become successful business owners so that they can thrive and give back to their communities. He says, “My job is to uplift the community with courage to believe in their God-given talents. After reading my book, there is no way that you’ll ever look at obstacles in your life the same, again.”
