The 19 th annual “Great Griz Encounter,” a meet-and-greet event of the University of Montana’s 2014 football team and once again sponsored by the Providence St. Patrick Hospital, will take place on Thursday, August 21 , downtown in Caras Park.
The event is held in conjunction with the Missoula Downtown Association’s weekly “Downtown Tonight” function. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with live music by Tom Catmull’s Radio Static band.
The 2014 Griz football team will be featured at the annual gathering. Montana’s 2014 All-American and Honors Candidates, and Griz Head Coach Mick Delaney, will be introduced at 6:30 p.m. After that, all of the Griz players will sign posters until around 8:30 p.m.
Due to the large amount of fans wishing to get autographs, there is a two-item limit.
Licensed vendors will also be on hand selling Grizzly merchandise and apparel, including the official T-shirt for the “White Out” game on Sept. 13 , when Montana plays South Dakota.
