Mixes in a Jar Recipes


Printing & Label Attaching Tip: Use card stock to print. Cut out labels. Use a paper punch to make a hole in the label. Use ribbon to tie around jar top to attach label to jar.

Southwest Texas Snack Mix

2 T butter or margarine, melted
2 T brown sugar
1 t Worcestershire sauce
1 t Chili Powder
1/2 t ground cumin
1/8 t cayenne pepper, optional

Preheat oven to 300°F.
Dump contents of jar in a large bowl and mix gently. Set aside while you make the coating mixture. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour mixture over snack mix and toss to coat. Place on ungreased 10x15-inch shallow baking pan. Bake 25 minutes or until peanuts are golden brown, stirring halfway through cook time. Cool completely. Mixture becomes crisp as it cools. Makes 5 cups
