GET BOOKS ON AWOLOWO AND NIGERIAN POLITICAL LEADERS Chief Obafemi Awolowo: The Political Moses is a story of a man who dedicated the entirety of his life to serve humanity and the development of mankind. The Author makes use of the noun Moses to depict the tiresome journey of an activist who fought rigorously alongside others to gain independence for his people. The fact that his ambition to be president of Nigeria was foiled is in itself a matter of discussion transcending the Nigerian political debate till now. Days of Infamy is the sequel to Pearl Harbor, (just released in paperback) and carries on the story of "what might have been" if a different, more aggressive commander -- Admiral Yamamoto -- had led the Japanese Fleet in their surprise attack at Pearl Harbor in December, 1941.The Wrong Admiral for the Wrong JobIn real history, the Japanese high command assigned their Pearl Harbor strike force of six aircraft carriers to Admiral Chuichi Nagumo. Charlton HestonThis is Nigerian Times Tribute to Charlton Heston, one of the greatest actors of all time. Whose unforgettable portrayal of Moses in The Ten Commandments, Colonel George Taylor in Planet of the Apes and Judah Ben-Hur in Ben-Hur made them classics in America and the rest of the world.Charlton Heston played an active role in the Civil Rights Movement. He was one of the first Hollywood stars to speak out against racism in America. He was also against abortion and other violations of human dignity."To me, he was the consummate leading man. He was tall, he was handsome, he was sensitive, he was gruff when he had to be. He was a great cowboy, he was perfect for those historical roles. He could do everything, and there aren't many actors around today who could."~ Shirley JonesCharlton Heston left golden footprints on the sands of time.May his soul rest in peace.6 Apr 2008 04:24 Africa/Lagos Statement by the Family of Charlton Heston BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April
