They recommend a 50-50 mix seems to work best; otherwise both consistency and flavor suffer. But at least you can cut the empty calories almost in half, which can be important for diabetics!

It's much cheaper than buying the items separately. You'll never need anything else except jars & lids (and the jars are reusable)!
