You will have to turn off the power first. Then take off the bottom of your light until you can access the chain. You can usually add a pull to your chain. Just look at your home improvement store for fan pulls in the lighting department.

I would like to know how to fix a ceiling fan light pull chain that broke off up inside the casing. I pulled on the chain to shut off the light at my daughter’s house and the chain broke. Ugh.:( I feel responsible to fix it but don’t have a clue where to begin. I would appreciate ANY help. Thx.
