12/8 How to prepare for Individual, Family and Small Business coverage by Jan 1, 2015?In order to prepare for January 1, 2015 coverage, individuals, families and small businesses will need to have all paperwork including census and plans chosen by no later than December 15, 2014.

12/9 Mobile Apps
The DC Health Link mobile apps are free and available for Apple devices through the Apple App Store and Android devices through the Google Play store. Download towards better health care now!

12/10 Using a BrokerDoesn’t cost you any additional money and is the easiest way to manage your coverage.

12/12 Defining SHOPSHOP stands for The Small Business Health Options Program. This is the tool within the DC Health Care exchange specifically for small businesses.

12/15 Choosing PlansChoosing a plan can be an easy process through DC Health Link. The two ways small businesses can choose plans through the exchange is based on carriers or metal levels.

12/16 Defining Metal LevelsA “metal level” is an aid between various plans that are offered by a single carrier. Within one carrier there are different levels including bronze, silver, gold and platinum representing different price points.

12/17 Current CarriersCurrently carriers that participate in HBX include Aetna, Carefirst, Kaiser Permanente and United HealthCare. There are over 150 plans to choose from by these carriers.

12/18 LanguagesSpeak another language? DC Health Link provides all its information in multiple languages including Spanish, Chinese, Mandarin and French.
