Stratford University Partners with RAMW to Promote Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Education

Workforce development and job placement are key focus

Fairfax, VA  ( June 24 , 2016 )  –  Stratford University’s School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts  is pleased to announce its new partnership with the  Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) .

With a focus on workforce development and job and intern placement, RAMW will connect and promote Stratford University’s hospitality and culinary education programs to the  a ssociation’s network of restaurants, chefs, and foodservice businesses and opportunities. The partnership will bring information, insight, educational resources, and marketing opportunities to the table for both organizations.

Now i n its 40 th  year of education,  American  Culinary  Federation - accredited  Stratford University prepares students for the evolving demands of the hospitality and culinary arts professions, providing them with a framework for the lifelong learning required for career advancement.  Stratford’s campuses  are located in Alexandria, Falls Church, Newport News, Richmond, Virginia Beach, a nd Woodbridge, Virginia; and  Baltimore, Maryland,  as well as an international campus in  New Delhi, India .  Degrees from the  School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts  include  Master of Science in International Hospitality Management Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management Associate of Applied Science in Advanced Culinary Arts Associate of Applied Science in Baking and Pastry Arts Associate of Applied Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management ; and  Advanced Culinary Arts Professional Diploma .

RAMW also  manages an Education Foundation – Educated Eats ,  a (501(c)3) which advocates for the value of employment through the restaurant and foodservice industry and is committed to creating the next generation of culinary and hospitality professionals. The Foundation will promote Stratford’s scholarship opportunities and overall academic curriculum to the foodservice community as well as to RAMW’s network of secondary education institutions through a variety of programming.

The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) is the regional trade association representing restaurants and the foodservice industry in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.
