Allow us to introduce you to one of music’s rising stars and possibly your new favorite artist. A powerhouse songwriter with the style and stage presence to match.

While Jake Wesley Rogers has been releasing music since 2016, it’s been the last couple years that he’s truly begun to create his own space and become one of the most memorable performances of moments like Austin City Limits, SXSW and various festivals. In fact, you may have seen him recently on tour with Panic! At The Disco as he proves the importance of getting to a show early.

With a fashion sense (that’s placed him in Vogue twice as of this writing) and sound that’s dubbed him “the bastard child of Elton John and Brandi Carlile” by Sir Elton John himself you know he’s a damn good act to see live, and we can confirm this is in fact true.

We had the pleasure of catching Jake at two stops on the Viva Las Vengeance tour with Panic! At The Disco and soaked in every moment he was on the stage.

Celebrating his most recent EP ‘ Pluto ’ as well as his upcoming EP ‘LOVE’ you can find him performing his latest single “Hindsight” along with his other songs, all filled with powerful lyrics and strong musical production.

While every song in his set is absolutely incredible, including “Cause of a Scene” and “Middle of Love” we can honestly say there is not a single song he’s released that is worth skipping. From the old to the new, it remains clear that he will be an artist to watch as his growth continues.

Not able to make it to a Panic! At The Disco show? No worries, keep an eye on his website and social media for tour updates. There’s also a strong chance we’ll see a headline tour in the near future with the fast growing fanbase he’s acquired. So be sure to add his new EP ‘ LOVE ’ to your library so it’s available upon release on October 21st.

Be sure to also check out the art that is his music videos. As they are visually stunning and tell the story of the song, songs like “ Momentary ” bring you into his world and speak so elegantly and amplify topics such as the LGBTQ+ community.

If you happened to capture any shots of a recent show, feel free to tag us on social media at Shutter 16 Magazineand throw in #Shutter16and #TwitFromThePitfor the world to see.
