Disturbed Rescheduled Show – Worth the Wait

Wednesday night in Raleigh, hard rock band Disturbed played to a packed house at Coastal Credit Union Music Park. The show was one we’d been ready for. Last time we had a photographer primed and the sky decided to open up and in the relentless chaos of mother nature the show got canceled.

Tonight though, we dredged through the intense traffic lines and made a B-line for the photo-pit to capture all Disturbedhad to give.

The band is currently touring on their eighth studio album, Divisive ( Reprise Records ) and has been touring now for nearly 30 years now (1994.) Most shocking for me when I get a chance to catch them live is their layered varieties that are meshed in their catalog.

Vocalist David Draiman has a very unique  percussion like styling as well as meshed with operatic/baritone tones lend for some interesting performances.

This tour stop, this year, so many years since we’ve turned in the variety has extended, nto to say through the matured performance is their sound so different fans wont enjoy it. Just putting into the stratosphere the evolution of Disturbed was a long time coming and much appreciated.

You could get lost in a heavy ballad and of course latch onto the mega-hits. Which tonight we were privy to the likes of “Stupify,”Down with the Sickness,” and personal fave “Land of Confusion.”

Impressive pyrotechnical showcase is something they are known for now. In the photo-pit the heat literally will smack you in the face, kudos to the band for doing this every single stop. The energy of the show is one you crave in a show. Each time they are around we are sure to be there, so should you. Even if it’s not your kind of music, I guarantee you it is your kind of show.
