LUDACRIS COLLABORATES WITH GOOGLE TO RELEASE SINGLE + INTERACTIVE VIDEO “BUYING ALL BLACK” FEATURING FLO MILLI & PJ IN SUPPORT OF BLACK-OWNED FRIDAY THIRD ANNUAL CAMPAIGN
Nov. 18, 2022 – Ludacris, multi-platinum three-time Grammy Award®-winning Atlanta superstar, collaborates with Google to empower the third annual Black-owned Friday nationwide campaign with his brand new single + interactive video “Buying All Black” featuring Flo Milli & PJ, available across all platforms today.
Black-owned Friday was launched in 2020 to re-imagine the annual post-Thanksgiving shopping event as a day to celebrate Black-owned businesses that were facing serious systemic challenges as the pandemic was accelerating. At the same time, a noticeable increase in searches for Black-owned businesses was occurring online.
Google reacted by introducing a Black-owned business badge, enabling business owners to self-identify as Black-owned on Google searches. The U.S. Black Chambers also has a platform for their Black-owned businesses called ByBlack. Businesses can learn more about these resources on the Black-owned Friday website: g.co/blackownedfriday .
With the arrival of “Buying All Black,” Black-owned Friday now gains new traction. In the interactive video, Ludacris gamifies the Google search process as he is transported to locations that represent the breadth of Black-owned businesses. To that end, each scene in the video features various products from Black-owned businesses. Even the video wardrobes of Luda and Mobile, Alabama rapper Flo Milli are all Black-owned.
“As a business owner,” Ludacris states, “I am so passionate about supporting Black entrepreneurs and really wanted to celebrate the impact they make on their communities. We’re showing people how to search on Google for Black-owned businesses, and reinforcing that we all have a choice when we search for businesses to support and shop our values.”
Upcoming on the big screen for Ludacris (Chris Bridges) is the 10 th installment of the popular The Fast and the Furious action film series, entitled Fast X , to premiere in May 2023. June 2023 marks the 20 th anniversary of Luda’s debut in the series as Tej Parker (in 2003’s 2 Fast 2 Furious ). The F&F series has grossed over $6.6 billion worldwide to date, making it the most successful film franchise in Universal Pictures history.
ABOUT LUDACRIS:
The mega-best-selling Def Jam discography of Ludacris began in 2000, with his second album and Def Jam debut, the RIAA triple-platinum Incognegro (with “What’s Your Fantasy” and “Southern Hospitality”); followed by 2001’s triple-platinum Word Of Mouf (with “Area Codes,” “Move B***h,” and “Saturday (Oooh Oooh!)”). 2003’s double-platinum Chicken-N-Beer , Luda’s first #1 Pop/#1 R&B crossover album, contained his first across-the-board #1 Rap/#1 R&B/#1 Pop crossover smash hit single, “Stand Up.” The double-platinum The Red Light District arrived in 2004, featuring the hits “Get Back,” “Number One Spot” and “Pimpin’ All Over the World.”
Release Therapy (RIAA platinum, 2006) debuted at #1 – the same week that its first single, the RIAA platinum “Money Maker” (featuring Pharrell Williams) hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B charts. Luda’s next #1 hit, “Runaway Love” with Mary J. Blige, was performed live with guests Earth, Wind & Fire at the 49 th annual Grammy Awards® telecast. Release Therapy won the Grammy® for Best Rap Album, and “Runaway Love” won Best Collaboration at the BET Awards ’07 .
Theater Of The Mind (RIAA gold, 2008) contained the pop/R&B crossover hits “What Them Girls Like” (featuring Chris Brown and Sean Garrett), and “One More Drink” (featuring T-Pain). The RIAA gold Battle Of The Sexes (2010) was Luda’s fifth #1 Billboard career album and third #1 Soundscan debut. It spun off a pair of massive pop/R&B/Rap crossover hits: the RIAA double-platinum “How Low,” and RIAA platinum “My Chick Bad” featuring Nicki Minaj.
Luda‘s most recent long player, Ludaversal (with “Good Lovin'” featuring Miguel) was released March 2015, three days before the premiere of Furious 7 . The deluxe North American version of the album also boasted features by Rick Ross, Cee-Lo, John Legend, Jason Aldean, Usher, Monica, and Big K.R.I.T.
ELTON JOHN AND BRITNEY SPEARS
UNVEIL THE ACOUSTIC CUT OF CHART-TOPPING HIT “HOLD ME CLOSER”
SPECIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR THE TRACK ALSO RELEASED FEATURING OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST NATHAN CHEN
NEW YORK (November 18, 2022) – Today, Elton John and Britney Spears release the acoustic version of their chart-topping smash hit record, “Hold Me Closer.” The latest rendition offers a stripped down, piano version of the song showcasing Britney’s vocal abilities. Listen to “Hold Me Closer” (Acoustic) HERE .
Accompanying the song release is a beautiful music video featuring Olympic Gold Medalist Nathan Chen ice skating to a routine he choreographed himself captivating emotion in every frame. The seeds of collaboration between the duo began in 2019 when Chen first incorporated the music legends’ songs into his free skate program after his choreographer saw the Oscar-winning motion-picture “Rocketman.” A lifelong fan of Elton John, Chen decided to use his Elton-John-inspired program for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, where he secured the Gold Medal for his show-stopping performance . Following his Olympic triumph, Chen and fellow ice-skating stars attended one of John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour performances in Charlotte, North Carolina where Elton surprised him with a surprise congratulatory shout-out from the stage on his well-deserved gold. Watch the clip here .
Watch the official “Hold Me Closer” (Acoustic) video featuring Nathan Chen HERE .
Nathan Chen said, “Elton John’s music means something to anybody who’s ever listened to it. ‘Rocket Man’ has always intrigued me — it’s otherworldly, but it’s just as much about our lives on Earth, love and loneliness, dreams and disappointments. In a way, ‘Rocket Man’ captures what my own journey has felt like — and getting to skate to it at the Olympics was one of the most special moments of my life. I couldn’t believe it when I heard Elton thought of me for this video. Elton and Britney created something really beautiful with this version of ‘Hold Me Closer’ — and I’m so honored to be a part of it.”
Debuting at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, “Hold Me Closer” finds two of the most iconic artists of all time coming together for the first time ever on record. As predicted, the song topped the charts providing Elton with his tenth Top 10 hit and Britney’s first in almost ten years. The song has also climbed to #1 in Australia and Canada, #3 in the UK, and most notably, #1 on iTunes in over 40 countries upon release, with over 88 million global streams. Produced by Andrew Watt, “Hold Me Closer” is a refreshingly contemporary twist on one of Elton John’s most iconic hits, “Tiny Dancer,” that also features elements of other classic songs from his legendary catalog, including “The One” and “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.” Watch the official “Hold Me Closer” music video, directed by Tanu Muino, HERE .

Drew Holcomb & Ketch Secor Share What They’re Grateful for on New Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors Single “Gratitude” – out Today!
I wrote this song a few days before Thanksgiving last year with my friend Ketch Secor. We were talking about all that was wrong with the world, the troubles everyone is facing, the political division, the unrest, all the post pandemic blues, and yet in the midst of it, how much there is to be grateful for. I remember asking my grandfather many years ago near the end of his life, what was the best gift he had been given. Without hesitating, he said “Well life itself.” That has stuck with me for all these years, despite the troubles and sorrows we all face, we have breath in our lungs, old memories to reflect on and new memories to make, people that we love and people that have loved us, smells and sounds that bring us peace, old friends, changing seasons, and so many other things to give us light in times of darkness. Seeing life through this lens is sometimes an act of courage, and one we needed to remind ourselves of on that day when we wrote this song. – Drew Holcomb on “ Gratitude“
New York, NY – 18th November 2022 – Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors release their moving new single “ Gratitude” today. Written by Holcomb and his good friend Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show, the song encourages us to remember what we have to be grateful for as we enter into the holiday season. The single was produced by Cason Cooley ( Ingrid Michaelson, Ben Rector, NEEDTOBREATHE) and follows this summer’s joyful “ Dance with Everybody (ft. The National Parks)” – another song Holcomb wrote with Secor. Listen to “ Gratitude” via your preferred DSP HERE .
“Gratitude” also comes on the heels of a new Goodbye Road EP – Goodbye Road: Volume Two , listen HERE . Goodbye Road is a collaborative project between Holcomb and his good friends JOHNNYSWIM – Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano-Ramirez. This was the second release for the group who excel at writing songs of hope and resilience.
In the past few years Holcomb has built upon his spirit of collaboration that was originally sparked with Dragons – the last full-length studio album for Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors. Released in August 2019, the LP was Holcomb’s most collaborative and featured co-writes with Lori McKenna, Natalie Hemby, and The Lone Bellow among others. Dragons debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk album chart and earned the band their AM TV Debut on CBS Saturday Morning and a performance for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert .
In addition to working on new music, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors have spent a lot of time on the road in 2022. The band recently wrapped a US headline tour after performing at this year’s Moon River Music Festival in September – a festival Holcomb co-founded, hosts, and plays each year. They added BottleRock in Napa Valley, CA and High Water Festival in North Charleston, SC to the list of festivals they’ve played and spent some time supporting the legendary Willie Nelson on the road. Plus, Drew and Ellie Holcomb will be playing their annual Neighborly Christmas shows – December 21st at the Orpheum Theatre in Drew’s hometown of Memphis and on December 22nd at the Schermerhorn Center in Ellie’s hometown of Nashville. Furthermore, the couple just announced their 2023 “ An Evening with Drew & Ellie Holcomb: The Residency Tour.”
