10 Little Secrets of Happiness That Will Change Your Life

Who doesn't love a happy person? You know the one. They light up a room when they walk in. They are always smiling and seem to warm people's hearts immediately. When you see them, you automatically smile and are happy too. That person. The person who everyone wants to be around.

The one thing to remember about being a happy person is that it truly is an inside job. We have the choice to be cranky and miserable or cheery and happy. I get that sometimes life puts things in our path that will challenge us but in the end, happiness is where it's at.

happiness So is it easy to be happy? Of course it is. But if you aren't already a naturally happy person it may take a teeny bit of work but if you are up for it then it will be a breeze. Here are some tips on happiness that can quite possibly change your life, but only if you're ready to change it.

1. Don't sweat the small stuff, or the big stuff, or any stuff really.

That probably sounds like it's really hard to do but you have to always remember one thing.   No matter what happens, it happens for a reason and it is always for your good and to help you grow.

2. Just be your own beautiful unique self.

So many of us try to find happiness in others by trying to be something we're not, in hopes that they like us. Don't do that anymore. Be you! Your own unique self and see how much happier you will be (and a lot less stressed too I bet)

3. Do what you like and like what you do.

This is twofold simply because you may be given tasks or jobs that you won't like. Do it anyway and do your best at it and in turn it will brew happiness (trust me on this one). Doing what makes you happy is a no brainer as well. Don't let anyone tell you you can't do something. If it's going to make you happy, do it.

4. Find beauty in absolutely everything.

And I mean everything. There is perfection and so much beauty in the world and everything in it. When you take time to find it and see it, it won't be long that your heart will fill with love, appreciation and beauty of its own which leads to one thing, happiness.

5. Step out of your box.

Your comfort zone, get out of it. You can stay there forever and live dormant and never experience the outrageous joy that is out there waiting for you to discover it. Always wanted to ride the big Ferris wheel at the amusement park but were too afraid? Go do it!! Out of the box, send fear packing and go be adventurous and then watch how happy that will make you.

6. Happy isn't always easy.

Happy people don't necessarily have an easy life nor have they had everything handed to them on a silver platter. They have had challenges, some of them have had many. They take these challenges, deal with the m and then move on in happiness. No sense in crying over spilled milk forever. Remember that don't sweat the small stuff tip?

7. Happiness is a state of mind.

As I mentioned in the intro, happy people choose to be happy. We choose to be whatever mood we are in. You chose it. Anything that comes your way, you can choose your reaction to it and how to deal with it. Always choose happy. This might not always be easy to do but once you focus on it, it will com e to your life and mind.

8. Help people up.

Happy people like to make other people happy. When they see someone who is down and out, they do their best to make them smile or cheer them up, putting their own needs on hold if they have to. They don't mind though, because making other people find their happy zone again makes them truly happy.

9 . Embrace life and all it has to offer.

This life is a beautiful thing. There is so much around us to explore, enjoy and experience. Take it all in. See it, feel it, be a part of it and be present in your life. Today. Enjoy the beauty of today.

10. Love with no regret.

Love everything and everyone. Open your heart to people, things, animals, places and the world around you. Give love, receive love and share love. Love truly is a universal language that always translates to happy.
