10 Signs You Have Found Your Soulmate

Sharing is caring!

Unless you have been living under a rock, it's been discovered that our soulmate is not necessarily a lover. It could even so much as be your 93-year-old neighbour Betty who bakes apple pies once a week for you. To know and understand what a soulmate is will help us to understand that any person could ours.

A soulmate is: any person you feel an immediate connection with spiritually, emotionally and mentally (and sometimes physically too) .

soulmate In other words, this person is an absolute joy to be with and you almost feel like you just met a mirror of yourself. A soulmate can be or turn into a romantic partner as is the case most of the time but just know that a soulmate can also be your best friend, or, Betty the apple pie baker.

So what are the clear signs indicating to us that we have, in fact, met our soulmate? Here are 10 of them. See if any of them resonate with you and your friend/partner.

1. You feel total freedom.

Spending time with this person makes you feel liberated. You don't have to watch what you say or how you say it. You're not hurting anyone's feelings but you don't have to mind your p's and q's either. You two can talk about anything, everything and nothing without inhibitions. Freedom of speech. Yippee.

2. Butterflies in your tummy.

Not the kind you get when you see a hot guy/beautiful woman for the first time but the kind you get when everything just feels good and this doesn't have to be a physical or sexual thing. It's just a super feel good feeling. When that happens, you got the right friend by your side.

3. You have that this is the one feeling.

That feeling that this person is exactly who you need in your life to complete it, for lack of better words. This person is the one you were supposed to meet and as soon as you do, you both just know, this is a solid union.

4. You've met before.

Somewhere, somehow, some planet, some thing, you both have that feeling that you know each other from some time ago. It could be 5 years or 5 55 years. You can't place it, it's just a feeling you have.

5. Divine timing.

They say that everything happens for a reason and you will meet people at a time that is right for you. That happens with soulmates too. You will show up in each other's lives at exactly the right time and not a moment sooner or later.

6. Your goals and purpose are almost in direct line with each other.

You have the same passion for the same causes. You both have a burning desire to make a change in the world for the better, with the same ideas. Your ideas bounce off each other effortlessly.

7. The only thing you feel is love.

There is no jealousy or hurt or anger or any other negative emotion with this person. It's just pure love and you know it is. There is no denying it. This doesn't only apply to romantic soulmates but platonic soulmates too.

8. Silence is golden.

You don't always have to talk and entertain your soulmate. You two can sit in silence and be perfectly happy. No words, no insecurities, no empty fillers. Just sit still and enjoy the silence and each other's company.

9. The feeling of being intuitively connected.

You know each other's feelings, whether they be joyous or sad, you know exactly how the other is feeling. If there is an emptiness, you feel that too. When danger is close by you both sense it. It's almost like you can finish each other's thoughts.

10. There's an undeniable sense of security when you are together.

You can just know and feel totally and completely safe. You don't fear danger or hurt or anything. You both feel happy, safe and secure when you are with each other. The trust factor is off the charts. No thing can harm you guys.

If you have a person like this in your life, lucky you! Some people go through their whole lives and never meet their soulmate while some have more than one. Always remain open to meeting new people because you never know when the one will show up.
