Born in 1207 of Persian decent (known as Iran now) Rumi was charming, wealthy and a genius. He was born into power and politics and had great influence over the people. Rumi was passionate about music, writing and dance to reach God. His poems have been transcribed on various formats and he is considered the world's most read poet. He met a man in his 30's that changed his life forever. Following the death of his friend (Rumi's youngest son murdered him), Rumi fell into deep grief which is where over 50,000 pieces of his poetry were inspire d from. I've always been very fond of Rumi's quotes. His words and messages are powerful. Too many of us read these image quotes, think to ourselves "Oh that's a nice one" and then forget about it. It's important to take the time to read each one carefully, or any inspirational quote for that matter, and see how it can be applied to your life.
