5 Proven Ways to Get Along with Everyone All the Time

Sharing is caring!

Imagine a perfect world where there is never any fighting, war, hate or anger. Imagine also that you love your in-laws and your neighbours and even your exes too. What a beautiful world this would be. So let' s snap back into reality now and see that this really isn't the case.

But it could be. It's actually easier than you think to get along with everybody all the time. With that, I don't mean be everybody's best friend and have a million friends hanging around. No, I just mean get along with people in general, even the ones who really get on your last nerve. You know your cousin Jerry who you can't stand being in the same room with? We all have that one cousin, or aunt or even co – worker. Grinds on your last living cell. Yes that person. It's possible to easily and comfortably be in the same room with them and even get along, quite nicely I might add.

You're dying to find out how right? Let's take the hard to handle people first.

1. Surround me please.

With a shield. A protective light. Loving energy. Yes do that. As soon as you are completely protected, none of their negative energy will affect you. Actually it will just bounce off of you and get redirected right back to them. The result? You'll be able to tolerate them better than you ever have. Their toxicity won' t penetrate you at all and you can begin to treat them and converse with them like you would anyone else you get along with. This is a fun one. Try it and see what happens.

And now let's move on to learning how to get along with all others.

2. Smile lots and more often.

If you struggle socially or have a hard time making new friends or meeting new people try smiling more. It may be a little awkward at first to do but with practice, you'll get the hang of it. When we smile at people without first knowing them at all, it shows them we are approachable and open to conversation or a greeting. It's also so much easier to smile than it is to frown.

3. Be kind.

Doing small of acts of kindness will bring likeminded people to us. Not only that, it is a great way to make you feel good and make others feel good to. You know what happens after that? The heart and the mind open and communication is easy and natural.   Being kind and doing random acts of selflessness let people know t hat you have a heart and you are sincere. People like nice people, right?

4. Compliment always.

I love doing this. Standing in line at the grocery store or at the coffee shop and just telling the person in front of you that they look great or you love their shoes or what have you. Freely and openly complimenting people is a great way to not only start a conversation but also a great way to stay on the forefront of their minds so when they see you again they will remember your kind words and want t o talk to you again. It lets people's guards down.

5. Listen intently.

Ask questions, find out more about them and talk less about you. If they ask you about yourself that's cool but try to turn the conversation around to them. It shows you have interest and sincerity in them. People like to talk about themselves and love when people ask them questions. Mind you, then there are the people who just talk about themselves too much anyway without any prompting. Smile, nod and then try to get away from those guys. They'll suck the positive energy right out of you.

If you genuinely want to get along with people you can see it's very easy to do so. I get that some of us are very shy and truly want to talk to people but don't know how. Always start with a smile. Conversation will have a tendency to flow naturally right after that. People, for the most part are nice and friendly anyway.   You just have to start somewhere, right?
