5 Things To Do When You Realize Your Vision Board Isn't Working

It's been hanging on your wall now for 2 years. You've moved a couple of pictures around. Took one down, added two new ones. All it is now is a cluttered mess. And this whole time, nothing worked. Not one single thing worked. You looked at the picture of the cruise ship every morning and wondered what would it really be like.

Before you decided to try your hand at this whole vision board thing you watched several YouTube videos about how to make the perfect one. You read eBooks, pdf's and other resources to make sure you understood exactly how to do it so it would be fail proof. All this and still nothing.

vision_board What went wrong? Probably a million things. What do we do now? The following 5 tips might come in handy right about now.

1. Rip it up and rethink your strategy.

Actually get a new strategy. Toss your whole vision board in the garbage. Burn it, use it as a dart board, cut it up into a million pieces, but get rid of it. There is no hope left there. Or joy or excitement or anticipation of good things to come. It's doom and gloom now. Don't bother saving the pictures. Give it a little funeral and send it off.

2. Back to the drawing board.

Or not. It's clear that looking at pictures on a board did nothing for you. What else do you think you can do that might work? Remember the goal here is to have tools at your disposal that will help you manifest the life of your dreams, right? Take a moment to think about what some triggers are for you and how you can apply them to your daily life for easier manifestation.

3. Talk to some of your friends.

What has been working for them? Did they use a vision board? What does theirs look like? For some, cut out pictures might not be their thing. Some people use boards to mind map on. Look into that method. Mind mapping is simply writing things out and adding things to the board as often as you wish, but still making sure it is readable. Don't make it a cluttered mess too.

4. Use your mind and intention.

So you aren't a visual person, obviously. Try journaling or leaving little post it notes in places you will see them clearly. These little notes could be the triggers you need. The great thing about them is you can switch them up daily or add more as often as you wish wherever you want. Your car, the bathroom, the mirrors, you can stick them just about anywhere.

5. Start having more faith.

And believing in yourself and your dreams. Remind yourself that you deserve all the good you are trying to manifest and believe that it is coming to you. I realize that intention is hard for many to do without sounding like we're lying, but when you do it often enough, you will eventually start believing it and feeling it will be easier. Keep at it and have faith that good things are coming your way. Release your limiting beliefs and open yourself to receive.

I know it's easier said than done to set out an intention and sit back and watch it happen but the problem for most of us is that we simply don't believe good things are on their way to us. We have to start believing that. Know and understand that the universe wants you to be happy and prosperous but it also really wants you to get out of its way. Let it do the job it is meant to do and stop blocking all the good from coming to you. Open to receive and watch what happens.
