Sharing is caring!

From the desk of some of the great thought leaders comes 8 of the most powerful affirmations to get you through most tough times. Many of us are happy to reach for that bottle of Scotch or even a joint or cigarette but there are definitely healthier ways to get you through crap times without the morning after the night before effects.

Here are 8 powerful affirmations, or mantras, that will successfully get you through some trying times, provided you repeat them as often as necessary. So many people claim that affirmations don't work for them but you have to work them in order for them to work. What does that mean? Say them, feel them, yell them at the top of your lungs if you have to, write them out and repeat them a million times a day with great conviction. They will work if you do it properly.

Just keep saying that. You can do anything and you have. You've made it this far and you've already gone through some pretty rough patches and came out smiling . This is just another one and you can get through this one too. I can do this. Say it lots and say it like you mean it. You CAN do this and everything is going to be ok.

2. This won't bring me down.

Do not let anything bring you down ever. All challenges start off cutting you down and dropping you to your knees but do NOT stay down. Get up. Remind yourself of all the reasons why you need to get up and stay up and stand even taller than you were before this brought you to your knees. You are a warrior with a true fighting spirit. This won't keep you down.

3. I am bigger and better than this problem.

Whatever the problem is, personal or professional, you are bigger and better than your problem and you can easily come up with a solution to it. Most problems are just little obstacles for us to jump over or figure out. No challenge is too big for you to figure out. Repeat it many times, I am bigger and better than this problem.

4. This is not failure, this is a little stumbling block.

There is no such thing as failure. We don't fail at anything. We try, we miss, we start again. Rinse and repeat. If you missed something, try again tomorrow. People might think you are a failure but what other people think never matters, ever. Remember that. You are living your life for you, not them and you h ave not failed, you aimed and missed. Next time you'll score.

5. I'm not perfect but I am doing my best.

We try so hard to be perfect at everything and that only results in heart break or serious disappointment. In order to prevent yourself from slipping into this demise, remind yourself that you are not perfect but you are doing your best. That's all that you should ever expect from yourself. Your best.

6. It doesn't matter what others think, this is my life.

People will want to stick their nose in your business and tell you what you should do, what you shouldn't do, ask you why you did what you did and say I told you so. Avoid these people if you can. If you can't, let them go on and then remind yourself it doesn't matter. This is your life. They aren't living it and it's not their problem. Look at their life? Any better? Probably not.

7. I am a fighter and I always win.

I don't mean winning competition wise, I mean winning as in you've beaten odds before and you came out smiling. You are a true warrior and you can handle anything life throws at you. I AM a warrior! I got this. I will come out smiling. And you will.

8. I will be stronger and wiser when I get through this.

Keep that in mind. Everything we go through teaches us lessons. Each lesson we learn something very powerful and life changing. It's another feather in our hat so to speak. When I come out the other side of this issue, I will be even more unstoppable than I ever thought I was before.

Positive self-talk is one of the few things that will get you through any trials. It's very hard to stay positive when the whole world is crashing down around us, but really, it's not. And you'll be ok.
