8 Toxic Habits That are Keeping You From A Great Life

Sharing is caring!

We all want a happy and peaceful life filled with love and laughter. It's almost a dream life. But any one can have it and as a matter of fact some people already are living that life. How do they do it? They know the dangers associated with toxic behaviours and habits and they avoid them like the plague. You won't find peace and happiness if you are surrounded by toxic people and things.

What exactly are the worst culprits that are keeping us from living an epically ridiculous great life?

We are not in a competition in life. He i s not better than her and she is not better than them. We all are unique and have great gifts to sha re with the world. There is no need or room for jealousy. Jealous is also the toxic habit that can actually make you sick. Emotionally and mentally. Get rid of it.

2. Gossiping.

Is ugly. Plain and simple. Why do some w aste so much time talking badly about others? Does it make them feel better? It certainly can't make them happy. It's negative and hurtful. People who engage in gossiping are small m inded. There's no other way to describe that. Small minded people aren't looking to improve their lives. They don't care about that. They just want to cut down everyone else who is doing be tter than them. Stay away from gossipers. And gossiping. Don't do it.

3. Fear.

Face it, look at it straight up and then send it packing. Fear is what keeps us from doing epic things and living in full greatness. You won't know how great something is if you are too afraid to try it. What is there really to be afraid of anyway? 9 times out of 10 the very thing we feared has become our greatest thing. As children we feared very little. We need to adopt that childlike mentality again. Flick fear away.

4. Pity parties are for ….well no one really.

Stop whining and complaining about nonsense. Remember the Law of Attraction? What you focus on, you invite more of into your life. Spend too much time complaining you will end up with more things in your life to complain about. Why not take time to find all the good things in your life and be thankful for them instead of whining about things that you probably don't have much control over anyway. And speaking of control….

5. Stop trying to control everything.

Just let things be. There are few things we have control over. We control our minds and our happiness. That's it, that's all. Everything else is going to unfold and behave exactly the way it is supposed to and no thing you do is going to stop it. You aren't God.   Things are out of your control. The one thing you are keeping yourself from is happiness. Let it go.

6. Worrying.

Will get you nowhere. Really. Too often we fret over things and their outcomes without ever even knowing why. You don't know how a certain situation will come to a resolve so there's no point in worrying about it. Half the time, we worry for nothing because the end result is usually pleasant. Remember that expression "Oh I worried for nothing"? Why waste time doing that then? All that time spent worrying could have been spent on happier things and thoughts.

7. Don't cry over spilled milk.

We get so upset over nothing really. If your baby spills milk, laugh it off, clean it up and move on. If something breaks, fix it if you can.   If you can't, toss it away and move on. Many things are going to happen throughout the day. Some good some bad. How you react to them is going to be the deciding factor on whether or not you have a happy day or shitty one.   Don't sweat the small stuff and don't cry over spilled milk. You'll enjoy life more.

8. Don't hold grudges.

Ever. What a waste of time that is. Not only that, it is the number one happiness robber habit out there. It should have be en listed first actually. Grudges don't do anyone any good. Seriously. What's done is done. Whatever happened happened. There isn't anything anyone can do about it now. Why hold a grudge about it? Does it do you any good? Does it feel good? Are you some sick and twisted person that enjoys internal pain, misery and suffering? I didn't think so. Let it go.

You can see that these toxic habits are things most of us do daily. It's easy now to see why they are robbing you of a great happy life. It's time to put them to rest and live the life you were meant to live.
