Aloha Poly Fest
August 9 - 10, 2014  10:00am - 6:00pm
Purpose

Come celebrate and learn about Polynesian (Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, Cook Islands, New Zealand), Melanesian (Fiji) and Micronesian (Guam) islands in the Pacific Ocean through cultural song, dance, crafts, merchandise, services, and food.

FREE ADMISSION to the Event is made possible with help from volunteers, performers and others who are passionately committed into preserving and carrying on the traditions, cultures and lifestyles of the islands. Their donation of time, products or money helps support the Event and gives others the chance to learn and celebrate the spirit of love that comes the islands.

Established in 2013 by Polynesian Gift Hut owner and artisan, Charles Hamer, the objective of the Event is to bring the aloha spirit of islands to his birthplace, San Francisco, because of it's similarity to Hawaii. Whereas, both are popular gathering
places for people from all over the world and melting pots made up of beautiful, artistic, creative, knowledgeable, rich and diverse ethnicities.

American born and raised, Uncle Charlie learned a lot about his paternal heritage by participating in these type of events, and encourages others to open their hearts and minds to learn about cultures that are part of or different from their own.
