RED ARROW HIGHWAY REMAINS CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC

PROJECT:A contractor will be doing work to facilitate road improvements to Red Arrow Highway including drainage improvements, roadway resurfacing, 4 lane to 3 lane reconfiguration and implementation of a non-motorized trail.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS STARTING 3/18/2024: Red Arrow Highway will be closed to thru traffic from the US-12 intersection to Community Hall Road. Local traffic will be permitted, but will be subject to a hard road closure where two culverts are being replaced. Red Arrow Highway will be closed to thru traffic starting on Monday, March 18, 2024 until approximately May of 2024.

DETOUR ROUTE(S):
Detour for northbound traffic along US-12/Red Arrow Highway:
- Remain on US-12 to EB I-94 to Exit 6 (Union Pier Road) to Union Pier Road
Detour for southbound traffic along Red Arrow Highway:
- Red Arrow Highway to Union Pier Road to WB I-94 to Exit 4A (US-12)
CULVERT REPLACEMENT RELATED WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION(S):
Culvert Replacement #1:
Location:
Culvert #1 is located south of Skip’s Restaurant (address of 16710 Lakeshore Road)
Traffic Impact:
Red Arrow Highway has a hard closure in place between Lakeshore Drive and Lakeshore Drive – All thru traffic should seek alternative routes or utilize the signed detour route. Work to replace Culvert #1 started on Monday, 3/18/2024.
Duration of this closure is subject to work progression, but anticipated to take approximately 2-3 weeks.

Culvert #2 is located just south of the Community Hall Road intersection.
Traffic Impact
: Red Arrow Highway additionally has a hard closure in place between Community Hall Road and Kruger Road – All thru traffic should seek alternative routes or utilize the signed detour route until road has been reopened to traffic. Community Hall Road and that intersection will remain open to traffic. Work to replace this culvert started on Tuesday, 3/26/2024
. It is anticipated that it will take approximately 1 week to complete. (Schedule is contractor and weather permitting)
Reminder that Red Arrow Highway will remain closed to thru traffic until approximately May of 2024. Local traffic will be permitted, but we advise motorists to be cautious when traveling through any active work zones.
