PROJECT:A contractor will be doing work to facilitate road improvements to Benton Center Road including road widening and road resurfacing.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Benton Center Road improvement project will take place in phases. During each phase, the road segment being worked on will be closed to thru traffic. Signed detours will be in place during these road closures. Each phase is anticipated to take approximately 1-2 weeks.
*Project schedule is contractor, project progression and weather dependent.
Updates will be provided as known.
BENTON CENTER ROAD RESURFACING PHASE 1:
Location:
Benton Center Road between Napier Avenue and Britain Avenue
Traffic Impact:
Benton Center Road has been reopened.
Remaining work to be completed at a future date is pavement painting and some restoration.
BENTON CENTER ROAD RESURFACING PHASE 2:
Location:
Benton Center Road between Britain Avenue and Territorial Road
Traffic Impact:
During Phase 2 Benton Center Road will be closed to thru traffic between Britain Avenue and Territorial Road.
- Closure started on Saturday, April 20, 2024*
- Phase 2 is being reopened to traffic the afternoon of Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
- Remaining work to be completed at a future date is pavement painting and some restoration.
BENTON CENTER ROAD RESURFACING PHASE 3:
Location:
Benton Center Road between Territorial Road and Red Arrow Highway
Traffic Impact:
During Phase 3 Benton Center Road will be closed to thru traffic between Territorial Road and Red Arrow Highway
.
- Start date is anticipated for afternoon/evening of Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
- All thru traffic should seek alternative routes or utilize the signed detour route during this phase.
- Once work begins, it is anticipated to take approximately 1 – 2 weeks to complete.
- Project phase progression is dependent on the contractor, work completion and weather dependent.
Phase 3 Detour Route:
Territorial Road to Euclid Avenue to Red Arrow Highway
