Easy- Make Your Own Flag TShirts

I’m one of those bad moms that never have my kids in the cute holiday matchy matchy clothes. Sigh. I’ve accepted it but my kids haven’t. So when they asked for Flag tshirts for 4th of July I knew that I had to come up with a way to quickly make patriotic tshirts for the 4th. This way was so simple you would not believe it. It only requires a Tshirt, red and blue fabric paint (the tiny bottles would be perfect) and a styrofoam to go box.

Make a Flag shirt for 4th of July in 5 Minutes!

All you need to do is make sure that you wash your styrofoam box to get the chicken nugget crumbs off. Then draw a flag on it and cut out the blue square and set it to the side. Place a plastic bag inside your shirt to keep the paint from bleeding through the shirt. Now take your red paint and starting at the top, paint haphazard lines vertically, leaving white spaces in between, to resemble the American Flag. Haphazard is my friend so don’t worry if they’re not perfect. Turn the paint side down and lightly press down onto the shirt. Peel it up and you should have the exact same print that you painted on the styrofoam, only backwards. I pushed a marker lid into the my blue square of styrofoam before painting it to give more white space. You can do the same or skip this step. Paint the square blue and place it face down on the right position on the Tshirt. Press this down and then peel it up. And you’re done! No really. It’s that easy. There’s no sewing, just basic easy painting. The great part is that since you used a stamp method of painting, the drying time is very quick. Let dry until all the paint is dry, all the way through and then put your shirt on and wear it!
