All applicants for admission to the Dartmouth Graduate Program in Chemistry and associated Dartmouth Graduate Fellowships in Chemistry are requested to submit on line the following items in support of their applications:

  • An official transcript of all undergraduate and of any graduate work completed.
  • Three letters of recommendation from scientists in either academic or industrial positions, preferably including letters from research advisors whether or not they are from the applicants' institution.
  •  All applicants whose native language is not English and who have not had at least one year previous study in a country where English is the native language should submit results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam.  This requirement may be waived for international students who have attended schools where English is the medium of instruction.  For application purposes, it is acceptable to upload self-reported test scores.  In this instance, your application may show as "incomplete" or "not received official".  Applicants who eventually receive an offer of admission and accept our offer will be contacted by our office to confirm your official TOEFL or IELTS exam scores.
  •  Simply state that you will be paying by check to proceed.
